QR Inventory in production

Keep audio on the device and use the application’s normal data path.

QR Inventory runs its language model — the AI that understands everyday speech — right on iOS and Android phones and tablets. Audio never leaves the device.

The app turns the request into the same structured request produced by normal form fields. The app sends only that request — never the audio — to the cloud service you have approved. The service turns it into a checked database query (SQL) and runs it.

If service is unavailable, QR Inventory queues the structured request until the connection returns. Users can match records, check inventory, explain results, prepare transactions, and ask onboarding questions.

Options differ by project

Plan offline behavior around the application.

Offline interpretation and queued transactions are available when the design supports them. The final behavior depends on the application and workflow.

QR Inventory proves one design: it interprets voice on the device and queues the structured request until service returns. Other projects may process speech in a different approved location — on the device, in a commercial cloud, or on servers you control. We agree on the location with you before building.

Audio and a structured request are different. Audio is the recording. A structured request is the selected action and its fields, such as item, quantity, project, and location.

With on-device processing, the device can interpret the audio before it creates the structured request. With approved cloud processing, audio or another required input may reach the selected service. We map that data path during design.
